The Particular Point Two Bedroom is located in historic Algiers Point. The 1000+ Sq ft. duplex is a perfect home away from home in New Orleans. The apartment is a short walk to the Algiers Point ferry, which drops you off in the French Quarter on Canal Street. Experience beautiful views of the city while taking the ferry across the Mississippi. The living room and kitchen are on the ground level. Both bedrooms and the bathroom are on the second floor. There is a queen bed in the primary bedroom, and twin beds in the other bedroom. We provide the amenities to make you feel at home. The living room has a comfy sofa for lounging after a day of galavanting through Nola. The kitchen has a full-size refrigerator, stove and oven, microwave, coffeemaker, toaster, and dining table. The private bathroom has a tub/shower combo. Fresh bed linens, towels and essential amenities are provided. For entertainment and relaxation, the living room and bedrooms have a smart TVs with free YouTube TV and HBO Max streaming services. There is a turntable and a crate of records to play music. Fast WiFi is available throughout the apartment to stay connected. Free and safe street parking is readily available. Most of the time, a parking space is available right in front of the apartment.

Check-in time is 3pm. We offer early check-in when available. Check-out time is 11am. The apartment is in a building with two other apartments. Please be mindful of the other tenants in the building. Algiers Point is a quiet neighborhood. Excessive noise, especially late at night, is not permitted. Our neighbors will notify authorities if disturbed. You will be asked to leave with no refund if you are a nuisance. No smoking is permitted in the apartment. You will be treated respectfully, in kind, we expect you to treat the apartment the same. Thank you for considering our place. We are gracious hosts and the apartment is quite comfortable. We are confident you will enjoy it!

Neighborhood

Algiers Point is the second oldest neighborhood in New Orleans. It is situated right across the Mississippi River from the French Quarter. The neighbors are welcoming and friendly. The unique historic neighborhood has a beach town vibe (minus the beach). The Point is home to a few wonderful restaurants, cafes and bars.

Wow is one word I would use to describe this location. From the moment you walk in you are met with beautiful decor, comfortable furniture, and a comfortable temperature. Dionne is a fantastic host and rest assure, if there is any problem at all, she will solve it immediately. My group and I felt safe in this home. The location is great and there are plenty of stores and food options within walking distance. Parking is also easy because the home is located on a one way street with parking all around, so you can park worry free at night. Within the home it was perfectly stocked with all the essentials and the beds were extremely comfortable. This is truly the best place to stay in all of Algiers point and will absolutely be back again!

Algiers pointe was perfect location to access French quarter, etc, while a peaceful retreat from the city by ferry. Ferry location very walkable from BNB. Most importantly, Dionne was the perfect, responsive host. Her place reflects great taste and charm. Love the New Orleans flair! Beds were comfy. Slept well. TVs in each BR plus living room was plus. Neighbors were super friendly and personable. Felt like home and Dionne made us feel like visiting relatives! NOLA is a magical, unique and special city. So is this spot. Bathroom upstairs, so might not be everyone's choice. Also, due to dependency on ferry, might be challenge for those travelling car less and wanting to take in the nola nightlife. Otherwise, book this charmer and enjoy! Say hello to the next door neighbors while you're at it!

This is a fantastic place to stay if you want to be free of the bustle of downtown but still be close by. The ferry nearby is very convenient and Algiers Point is bucolic and quiet.

My daughter and I loved Dionne’s place. It was easy to find, had parking right outside the door, and was exactly as described. Everything was comfortable and Dionne was very responsive and had all of the information I could possibly need readily available. We loved the walk to the ferry landing which was made complete with a stop at Congregation Coffee. Can’t wait to visit again!

My wife and I loved our stay here. It’s a quiet neighborhood with great coffee shop a couple walkable blocks away. We didn’t end up taking the ferry, but there’s pretty easy access to the rest of New Orleans driving as well. We will definitely look this place up next time we’re in town!

Dionne is a super host with great communication and an extensive house manual that answers any question you may have. My husband and I enjoyed our stay - the home is located in a safe, quiet, family neighborhood, with friendly neighbors. The walk to the ferry was so easy and once aboard the ferry - you are in the middle of all the action within five minutes. It's nice to return to the quiet community of Algiers at the end of the day.

My daughter and I spent 5 nights at Particular Point. The home is very clean, tastefully decorated, and exactly as described. I slept through the night, but my daughter, who is a bit of a night owl, heard occasional train whistles during the night. I really liked that we could return to peace and quiet after an evening in the French Quarter (or a late night cemetery tour!), but having to rely on Uber/Lyft was a bit of a downside due to the cost. Next time, I'd be sure to head back to Particular Point either before the ferry stops running in the evening, or I'd rent a vehicle :) Aaron was a very responsive host throughout our stay. The guidebook he's prepared for this location was invaluable - clear and concise information on the home and surrounding area, as well as expectations for being a good guest. I highly recommend Tout de Suite Cafe and Barracuda - both within walking distance, and offering delicious food and excellent service. We really enjoyed our stay, Aaron! Thank you.

Stayed here three nights. Helpful host, great place for a small family, kids appreciated the separate beds. Easy access to hustle and bustle with the ferry and back to the quiet neighbourhood. Easy parking and cosy place that has everything you need for a short stay.

The apartment is walking distance to the Algiers Point/Canal Street Ferry terminal. The ferry takes you across the Mississippi River in about 5 minutes. It drops you off in the French Quarter on Canal Street. The cost is $2 and it departs every 30 minutes. The 108 Bus stops 2 blocks away on the corner of Bouny Street & Opelousas Avenue. The ferry and bus schedule and travel notices are updated on the Norta website. Uber and Lyft rideshare services are readily available.
